I figured just because I'm not teaching this year doesn't mean I can't have goals for myself to achieve by December. Short term goals, even small ones, have the ability to do great things for you! What are your goals for this new school year?!
“Do not urge me to leave you or to return from following you. For where you go I will go, and where you lodge I will lodge. Your people shall be my people, and your God my God. Where you die I will die, and there will I be buried. May the LORD do so to me and more also if anything but death parts me from you."

Goals
I believe in order for me to maintain a sense of self and usefulness I need to have goals. Nothing too huge or crazy difficult. Just something for me to be working towards and something to feel good about accomplishing. I have already gotten a part time job. I may take one class (don't ask me what yet), and to attempt to make one page for my cupcake portfolio at LEAST every two weeks, if not every week. I would make it more often, but it's harder than you think to get rid of sweets that you don't want to consume alone. This is going to be along with some new workout goals.

LOVE setting goals! My goals are to cook at least schools nights every week this semester, and once it cools down to spend at least a half hour a day playing outside with Evelyn!
ReplyDeleteNot going back to work since Milan was born has been kind of odd for me. I felt like I lost part of my identity in a way. When people ask me what I do I say I'm a nurse without even thinking. So my goal now is to embrace my new identity as a mom but still be somewhat connected to my identity as a nurse. My other goal is to try to find somewhat of a routine for my new job. I'm kind of mad because there was no orientation for this new job. Lol!
ReplyDeleteLindsey, I think as a nurse, you are better prepared to be a mom than most! :) Those are great goals!
ReplyDeleteDefinately graduate this fall!
