Changing it up

So all things considered, I have kind of impressed myself with how consistent I've been in my workout schedule. I have never kept it up for this long before and I've seen some great results! I've lost around 12 lbs since January and have added some muscle definition to my upper body. Even went down two dress sizes! :)

However, I'm still not quite where I want to be. After much deliberation and arguing with myself, I decided to start running. Not like in a gym or on a treadmill, but running. Outside. Which I really loathe. Good news? I have a running buddy who is worse than I am: MACY! She is definitely in need of losing some lbs herself. She needs to be in much better shape and I figured this was a good way for us to work towards something together! I basically have to run at her pace....which is even slower than mine! But I can tell she is trying and pushing herself!  She isn't a very energetic dog to begin with, so this early morning run usually puts her in a corner for a nap for the rest of the day. Doc always said "a tired dog is a happy dog!".

So wish Macy and I luck as we both try to shed the last of the dreaded lbs. Its definitely the hardest part of losing weight and getting in shape. Pushing through and adding onto your routine that has worked for 11 mos isn't easy, but Macy and I are determined to be in good shape!

  3. Zeus and I run together about 4 times a week and we love it! It's so good for both of you! I love that I get a work out and Zeus gets to be outside! Unlike Macy, Zeus runs WAY faster then me, so the poor guy has to slow to my pace haha Keep it up girl!!

  4. Haha well then maybe Zeus should be Macy's drill sgt! She runs to play and fetch, but not just for the sake of running! Too bad her and Zeus cant run around together! He would be a great influence on her!
