Goodbye 2010, Hello 2011!

2010 was by far the fastest year that's gone by so far. We kicked it off with a wedding last January 1st with our family, dancing the night away! We ended it with family relaxing in our first home by the fire. 2010 had its pros and cons, I'll start with the cons just so we can end on the pros. One thing that sticks out big time? Shane dying. Awful. Still tugs at my heart strings thinking about the gaping hole that man left behind him. Josh's grandfather also passed away last summer. My dad had some sort of spell not long ago that put him in the hospital. We were all worried he had had a stroke or heart attack. Thankfully those were both ruled out. Though we all got a huge scare anyway. That was really the worst of it though. We did have some bumps in our road, what with moving twice and living in two different states and three different cities. We had lots of road trips and put lots of miles on my new Honda Element we got this past May.

Which brings me to the positive parts of 2010...
Biggest one? We bought our first home and have moved to our first duty station! No more training stations for us! :) Also, as I mentioned before, we bought my Honda in May and I still adore it. I truly love this car! I did a lot of research and really thought about what I needed in a car and this Honda was literally the ONLY car that fit the bill. I love it! This May we also celebrated our second anniversary! Spent it at a beautiful restaurant in Little Rock, AR with a great view of the outdoors and the river. Speaking of Arkansas, can I just quickly comment on how beautiful it was?! Trees and greenery everywhere, hills that went on for miles...Ah! I loved it! Its rightfully earned the nickname of the natural state! While we were in Little Rock, we took a few road trips to Memphis and even one to Cincinnati, OH. This past summer, two of my good college friends (that I introduced!) got married! It was a beautiful and fun ceremony and we really enjoyed seeing everyone from OSU! I was lucky enough to get more than one trip to Stillwater this year, one being Homecoming! :) Right there towards the end of 2010, we got word that my closest cousin Monica and her husband Adam are having a baby and that its a girl!! :) VERY exciting news! Lots of our friends got pregnant or had children in 2010!

I'm sure I didn't list ALL good/bad things that happened in 2010, but thats what comes to my mind thinking about it. I'm excited and nervous for 2011. I know it will hold its own pros and cons, but we're looking forward to our future together, whatever it may hold! Happy New Year to everyone reading!
