We stayed in Texas for two weeks after he left and during that time, I got really really sick. Elise had it too. I won't go into the bitty gritty details, but let's just say I had to stay very close to a restroom all day and all night. Imodium and zofran became my best friends. On day three, I realized I was extremely dehydrated and couldn't get enough water. So I had to drop Elise off with some dear sweet friends while I went to urgent care to get an IV and some nausea meds.
That was on a Friday and I was due to leave my house for six weeks on Sunday. I hadn't even packed us yet. So that weekend, my friends took Ellie again for two hours and I got a lot done. Sunday I loaded myself up on meds and our things into the car and somehow made it to my in laws home in Oklahoma. I thought I was starting to feel better but ended up going to the ER the next morning. Thankfully my amazing mother in law was there to take the best care of my daughter while I was gone. After a long day in the hospital, I finally came home and was starting to feel better and was able to eat. Two days later, we headed to my parents house to prep for a wedding Elise and I were both in! And everything actually went well, all things considered!
Once the wedding was over, Elise and I started the long drive from Tulsa to Montgomery. We stopped in Memphis to stay the night. Doing all of this by myself was a chore for sure, but I did it! And I'm super proud that I did it and the trip was actually even kind of pleasant! And all those hours in the car were worth it once we got back to dad! We got settled into our apartment and immediately threw ourselves into the social world here! We have several trips planned for July so we are looking forward to spending good time together before we head back to the normal routine of Texas.
Field day on base! Watching dad's team kick ass in dodgeball! They made it to the championship!
Out with Josh's class! These people are awesome!
Fun trip to Bass Pro Shop! So many things to do here!
So far we really love it here. So many new things to do and explore. Elise has been going nonstop and wears herself out enough to sleep about 3 hrs for each nap! Which is about the right amount of time for me to recover from taking her everywhere! We just want to do as much as possible while we are here!
