At 32 weeks along, we are getting very close to the point where I went into preterm labor with Elise. We are also getting very close to the day my husband has to leave us for training in San Antonio 5 days a week. I would be lying if I said I wasn't a little anxious and worried about it. Chances are, he will make it in time if I go into labor while he's gone. But it definitely doesn't make having him away from me at this point in my pregnancy any easier. We are both so glad right now that we decided to hire a doula. We can't really put a price on me not having to labor alone until he arrives.
Meanwhile, I'm stifling some pretty intense urges to nest. We don't have a nursery for me to work on, and honestly, there's not much I can do that I haven't already done to prepare for her arrival. So instead? I bake and sew like a crazy woman! My poor husband is constantly tempted by my cookies, and my sewing machine and crafts have taken over half of our dining area.
I'm also doing my best to prepare for our big move. Once Lena is born, we will have to immediately set up a day for the movers to come to our house to take everything out of it so we can put it on the market. Ideally, that's the same day Lena and I are cleared to go to San Antonio to stay with my husband during training. There's a lot of moving and unpredictable parts to this summer. Hopefully we can get through it unscathed!
