Vacations

So since I am unemployed for now, I have a lot of spare time to sit and daydream about vacations. I do this early and often. :)

Hubs and I haven't been on a legit vacation since our Honeymoon in 2008 (on right in St. Thomas). Sure we have taken little weekend trips and done some fun stuff, but I wouldn't classify any of them as vacations.

Our next big trip is backpacking across Europe. We are hoping that the AF will allow this to happen next summer. We are planning for a 3 week trip to visit England, France, Italy, Spain, Hungary, and possibly Holland.

Planning the trip has become quite a task! I have NEVER put this much thought into a vacation! There are just so many things to consider when entering a foreign country! Money, communication, lodging, transportation, translations, food, etc. All of this has to be figured out in a relatively short period of time since the AF most likely won't give us sufficient notice to plan otherwise. C'est la vie! ;) Though I think if we can plan this trip, every other one after it will seem like a piece of cake! Some other places we want to visit are:

* Australia

* New Zealand

* China

* Japan

* South Korea

* South Africa

These are obviously the more exotic places on our list! I would still love to go skiing as often as possible, go back to Hawaii and NYC, Northern Cali, and Alaska! Oh and the Wizarding World of Harry Potter ;)

I just hope the AF doesn't make us postpone our Europe trip! We have been talking about and planning it since we started dating. The fact that its really going to happen is overwhelming sometimes. It is going to be something we never forget and I can't wait to make it happen!
