I love Spring.
This year, we were lucky enough to kick off the season in Hawaii. We had a blast spending the week with my family in paradise. We didn't relax very much though! While our trip to Costa Rica was all about being lazy and relaxing, this trip was more about showing Josh everything I could of Hawaii in one week! We did some hiking, biking, whale watching, and even island hopped and spent a day on Oahu so Josh could see Pearl Harbor and a bit of Honolulu. More than once we beat the sun up and came home exhausted, but it was well worth it. We were even lucky enough to catch our favorite band on Maui....Switchfoot. We honestly had NO idea they were touring and we were beyond thrilled to learn we could see them on our trip! All in all, it was great to spend some quality time with Josh and my family. Especially in my favorite place on Earth!
The rest of Spring should be just as busy! Our base is having an AF inspection this month that will automatically make everyone busy and stressed. There's also an air show and a big BBQ Festival. When May arrives, we will be ready to celebrate our 4th wedding anniversary by camping at a nearby state park here in Texas. I will then make a trip to Little Rock to visit a friend and hopefully scout out a place for us to stay when we move in June. May and June will be spent getting ready for our temporary move to Little Rock!
So Spring is definitely coming in like a lion for the McVays! Hopefully the saying will ring true at the end as well! Wish us luck!
