Unfortunately I'm kicking it off with a nasty cold! Thanks, allergies!
Other than that, baby and I are doing well. Hubs and I have been reading baby books like crazy. One of my favorites is one that discusses the relationship between the mother's stress and prenatal development. Seems like a no-brainer that stress can have an effect on your unborn child, but I had no idea it could cause things like ADD, pre term labor, and can wire your child to be less adept at handling stress and anxiety in their own life.
So we have taken it upon ourselves to read this book and use its stress relieving techniques. They are relatively simple and I've found myself relaxing much more often. I may not have a busy schedule, but I have a VERY busy mind that can be difficult to shut off and relax. So we will try to learn from this book (written by a child neuropsychologist) and hopefully be less stressed during this pregnancy and maybe even pass on ways for our children to handle stress better! I highly recommend this book for any type of soon to be mommy! (especially us military wives!)
So here's the latest bump pic....
Next doctor's appt is July 23, I don't think there will be an ultrasound. To be completely honest, I'm not sure what will happen at this appointment! I will be 16 weeks by then and unfortunately we won't get to know the gender until 20 weeks! But we are hoping against hope that hubs can make it to that special appointment! Fingers crossed!
Ah!! So sweet! Let's just say it is all baby! LOL Hey I can post now!
