So this week was one filled with traveling and lots of crazy stuff. I kicked it off by driving from our place in Little Rock to Tulsa for my first baby shower. I am still waiting on edited photos from the photographer for baby shower pictures, but when I get them there will be an awesome blog on how perfect the entire day was. Here is a sneak peek of a picture I got with my friend who's due in a couple of weeks with a boy. She got us matching bibs that I just think are the cutest ever!!
Adorable right?!
So the shower was definitely a success and I can't wait to see all the pretty pictures! Anyway, after the shower, I had originally planned to leave the following Monday morning to head to our house in Abilene to drop off all my shower goodies and visit with my friends there. Then my cousin was induced that morning to have her second baby girl. So I definitely had to stick around for that! Luckily, her labor and delivery progressed very quickly, and I got to meet baby Pippin Elise!

It was so great to get to meet her since I wasn't able to be there for Kennedy when she was born. Monica did a beautiful job and has two of the cutest little girls I've ever seen!
So immediately after this picture, I headed to Abilene. It was a very long boring drive. I was able to drop off all my baby shower items and check on our house. Everything was in good condition and it even still smelled like our brand new house. The whole week made me even more homesick as we got news that Josh was likely to have his graduation date in Little Rock pushed back. C'est the Air Force! It's not always easy to take their surprises in stride, but we put on our positive attitudes and do the very best we can. It's not the first surprise they've handed us and we certainly know it won't be the last!
Leaving Abilene was much harder than I anticipated. I really missed my husband and was ready to see him again, but it was definitely hard to tear myself away from the comfort of my house and the sight of my daughters new possessions. The latter, especially. I couldn't tear myself away from her room. I even ended up grabbing a few smaller items to take with me because I couldn't bare to leave everything of hers behind me.
This girl already has an unshakeable hold on my heart. We can't stop thinking or talking about her and she's not even officially here yet. I hope she's ok with being smothered with love!
