4 Months!

This year is going by faster than we can keep up....seriously...

This past month has definitely been the most challenging. We probably did most of it to ourselves with all our traveling. Oh well.

This month, Elise gave me a scare by getting sick and thus slowing her weight gain. She quickly recovered and wanted to eat around the clock to make up for lost time. This was great for her...not good for my and my husband's sleep! We had several nights where we each got up 4-5 times and slept maybe 1.5 hrs in between. This was also the month we got to see overtired Elise....we aren't huge fans. It can be very scary when your baby cries so hard for so long and NOTHING works to make her stop. Not even stuffing a boob in her mouth! This happened more than once and I think we are learning to extend our crying tolerance and patience levels. We are getting even better at learning to lean on one another and tag team it. Except on nights when Josh has to be well rested to fly! Then it's all me! yay...lol

Well those are just some of the challenges we faced this month. We did have some great milestones though! Elise can now grab her toes and she does this a lot!

She's still laughing a lot which we love. We've discovered that it doesn't matter how long or awful our night was, when she flashes us that million dollar smile in the morning because she's happy to see us....it all melts away and we start fresh. I love that. It never gets old.

We've seen quite a bit of family this last month with all our traveling....we definitely don't hate it.

We have also felt Elise's first tooth poking through! I'm not sure if its staying put or trying to come out yet, but she's definitely drooling a lot and trying to put EVERYTHING in her mouth!

She's also really trying hard to crawl. I predict by 6 mos we will have a very mobile baby on our hands! Then we will all be in trouble!

This little girl seriously makes our day. Every.single.day. No matter what happens, she's always got a smile for us and watching her get excited to see her dad and hear his voice is nothing short of heavenly. I had always heard that you love your husband in a totally new way once you have children and I can definitely vouch for that being true now. I could watch those two all day long and never get tired of it. They are my whole world!

Until next month!
