I am right in the middle of snow day #3 here in Abilene. Normally, I welcome snow days and all the laziness and cuddling that comes with it. Unfortunately, I'm braving this one on my own and therefore it isn't as much fun. Thank god for Netflix instant!
I made it back to Abilene from Oklahoma just in time to be snowed in too! I had a wonderful long weekend visiting family and friends. I got to see my long lost best friend, Elle and her family. Evelyn is soo big! I just cannot believe she is only 13 mos old! She is so stinkin smart and curious. I got to spend a day with my family shopping and checking out the home and garden show. Then I got to visit my old stomping grounds in Stillwater. Had lunch with some of my favorite girls, then got to stay the night with my brother and sister in law! That last day was pretty chilly, walking around Boomer! But totally worth it! I really wish I could've stayed longer. I had so much fun and it was really nice to be distracted from the fact that Josh is gone and currently out of communication entirely.
But thankfully, today is the day I get to talk to him again! And he will be home in 9 days! I'm looking forward to having my better half back, going skiing, and going to the theatre. I'm very glad that this impromptu military trip hasn't forced us to cancel anything major!
Anyway, I am really just very bored....and I am sure that most of you reading this may also be experiencing some cabin fever....what have you been doing to cope?! lol
I have been blogging and reading blogs. I am really wanting to get out of the house! It's days like this I wish I baked or enjoyed baking. But I don't enjoy it because I always turn it into some chemical disaster. I've also been trying to keep Milan entertained. I have found that the pantry can keep her busy for awhile. I have put beans and cereal in containers and zip-locks and she will play with them long enough so I can put some stuff in a slow cooker and call it dinner;) Hoping for a weekend filled with sunshine and warmer temps!!
