Summer Update

Well its been awhile since I blogged last, so I thought I would update a bit!

I finally scored a great job on base at the Child Development Center! I am inprocessing right now which involved a lot of things like shots, physicals, and security clearance since I am technically working for the USAF.

I just got back from a lovely trip to Oklahoma to visit family and friends. It was much needed for sanity and to make me miss Abilene a little bit! It worked. I was very happy to get home last night and sleep in my own bed!

During my Oklahoma trip, I was able to see quite a few people. I even had the privilege of going to a friend's wedding from college. It was such a beautiful evening and it was so great to see everyone from the college ROTC days my husband and I had. Since everyone is in the Air Force and stationed everywhere and some are even deployed, we were still missing many wonderful people. But it was great to see the ones who were able to come. You just never know when you'll get to see those people again!

Part of my trip home involved a stop in Sulphur to visit the in laws! This was relaxing as usual! Macy and I got some quality time in at the lake, and got to catch up with the in laws (including brother in law and his wife!). Having everyone there with their dogs can be kinda stressful, but I'm so grateful for the time we got to spend together!

Then I got to go to my lovely hometown! Got to spend some quality time with my parents and both of my sisters. Macy got in some good bonding time with my dad and so did I. It was nice to walk the dogs together every night! While in Tulsa, I got to visit friends as well. There was a trip to Bixby to see the Fowlingtons and baby Evelyn. We got to eat at Panera and play on their new Xbox Kinect! So much fun! I also got to meet up with some old buddies from Charles Page for dinner!

All in all, it was a great trip. I have one more trip on the board for this summer. Los Angeles in late July with a friend here in Abilene. I couldn't be more excited! I have never been and am looking forward to a trip to Disneyland, the San Diego Zoo, Rodeo Dr, Hollywood, and Orange County! Ah! California, here I come!
