Ok....reasons for me to brag on myself don't come around often. So I'm grabbing this opportunity. Not a huge brag, but a brag nonetheless.
When we lived in Corpus, my husband and I made a pact to start working out and live healthier lifestyles. We started eating in 5-6 nights a week (which was super hard in Corpus!), and we started working out regularly. Since we were both working full time, it was a challenge! Slowly but surely, we started seeing results! I saw weight that had simply always been there for me start to fall off.
When we got to Little Rock, I even started noticing some muscle tone in my arms and shoulders! I definitely fell off the wagon a few times with working out and eating out! But I always found the motivation to start back up again.
Just recently, I had to have a physical for my job on base. I was actually dreading it since I had just taken a trip home which always means less working out, more eating out! I got on that scale and was shocked to see that it read 121! (I weighed closer to 150 in Enid in 2009). I have never been more proud of myself. Working out and being healthy is always hard. I have never had a reason to do either of those things other than just because I wanted to for me. It took me awhile to get motivated and stay that way. I definitely gotta shout out a thanks to my awesome sister-in-law and her great exercise habits. Having her in my life definitely inspired me to kick it up a notch! And of course, my husband! He has been a great encourager. He always knows when to be a support and when I need tough love. Helps that he's never short on compliments either ;)
Anyway, like I said, I don't get to brag on myself very often, and so I thought this was brag-worthy!
Do it!!! Brag away!! It's incredible what you have been able to do without some sort of crazy crash diet!
