After the longest 11 weeks of our lives....we can finally happily announce that our first McBaby is on the way!
It's been a roller coaster of a wait as well. After suffering through two losses and having zero successes, saying the last few months have been scary doesn't quite cut it. They've been terrifying.
We are so excited that everything has been going well so far. We were blessed that our fertility issue (if you even want to call it that) was a simple fix. I had a progesterone deficiency that was preventing any fertilized egg I might have from attaching and growing. So I've been on a daily supplement since I got a positive pregnancy test way back at the end of April. The side effects aren't fun, but its a VERY small price to pay to help us bring a baby to full term. We consider ourselves very lucky. We have had absolutely no issues getting pregnant, and staying pregnant hasn't been very complicated either.
So we've recently told our families that we are expecting on Father's Day and their reaction has made all our waiting and scares totally worth it. We can't wait to introduce everyone to our little one!
I'm due January 10, 2013. Currently at 11 weeks, so I'll be hitting that wonderful second trimester very soon! We should be getting to find out the gender at the end of July. We truly do not care if its a boy or a girl! After everything we've been through, the gender holds no weight for us at all!
This is a cupcake I got with my friend to celebrate the fact that we saw a heartbeat a few weeks ago! It was something we've waited almost a year to see, and did NOT disappoint! It was the most incredible thing I've ever seen and I can't wait to see/hear it again.
We recently started taking belly pics. Obviously there's not much going on now. I've definitely noticed a pooch, but I doubt its from baby growth at this point! More like bloat! Ah well!
So that's the news we have so far! I'll continue to update on here as the pregnancy progresses and our McBaby continues to grow, grow, grow!
Thank you all so much for your love and support!
ahhhhhhh not sure how I missed this!!!! So excited for you guys :)
