31 & 32 weeks

Just when I think I can't possibly get any bigger! These last two weeks have been busy ones. I feel like we haven't really stopped running around since we arrived back home. On top of getting our daughter's room ready, getting settled in from our move, doctors appts, birthing classes, maternity pictures, and a second baby shower, we've also had to prepare for the holidays as we're hosting this year!

Fortunately, I think we are ready! Family is arriving tomorrow evening and I've managed to get done around the house what needed to be done! Hasn't been easy since my pregnant self is about half as energetic and productive as my not pregnant self. Hubs has started a new job at work and has been really busy as well so I've been scurrying to get everything done around here.

So last week (and this week) we did a 3D ultrasound to try to get a really good first look at our daughter's face! I think they turned out really well despite our baby girl being uncooperative!

So far we know she has chubby cheeks, arms, and Angelina Jolie lips! She is a heavy sleeper in there too.

We also did our maternity pictures last week. We were incredibly pleased with how they turned out! These are something I've daydreamed about for a very long time and we had a blast actually doing them. Our photographer was Cassie Deal (cassiedealphotography.com) and she is not only awesome at what she does, but is a very dear friend of ours! We can't thank her enough for preserving this time in our life so beautifully. Here's a few favorites:

My husband had to have this last one. He thought it would be adorable to get one of me stuffing my face with a big juicy burger. I wasn't a big fan at first, but I think it turned out pretty funny! Definitely not your typical maternity shot, but we love that its ours and it will always make us laugh.

The next blog should be a good one. My husband and I will be writing it together to talk about why we chose our daughter's name. Pretty much everyone knows it by now, but not everyone knows the special meaning behind it. Hopefully it can be written without too many tears shed!
