9 months old! She's now been in the world longer than she was in my tummy! I can't believe it. She's getting harder and harder to photograph by myself because she just wants to stand up and try to walk away! Or she wants to eat her chalkboard.
This has been a busy month for Miss E. Not only has she started to pull herself up, try to stand on her, attempt walking along furniture, and cut a third tooth, but she's also moved since our last update and started going to preschool! Well, I say preschool, but its just a Mom's Day Out program at our local church. She loves it! She's got a couple of good friends in there that she loves to play with. She is very social and loves being there. I love it too. The first week it was really hard to let her go. I mean, I've spent pretty much every second of her life with her since she was born. It's always been us two. So learning to let her go with new people, for five hours, was hard. But I think we've gotten the hang of it now. Now we both look forward to school days! Gives me a chance to catch up on stuff that's easier to do without toting a baby, and she gets new experiences and stimulation. It's been a real blessing!
It's been a month since E said goodbye to her daddy. She talks about him ALL THE TIME. It's so sweet. It's like she's telling me what she thinks he's doing all the time. Or what she thinks he would think about the book she's reading, or the food she's eating. That's what I pretend she's saying anyway. Makes me very happy.
Luckily she's gotten to see her daddy quite often thanks to Facetime! We lucked out in the wifi department for this deployment. We've gotten to talk to him every few days. It's a lifesaver.
Elise still isn't STTN but we are doing the best we can. Some nights are flat out awful....waking up screaming every single hour....then other nights are not bad....she will sleep a good chunk 4-6 hours then wake up every 2. Those chunks have the ability to save my sanity.
Speaking of saving my sanity.....I don't know what I would do without my mother in law lately! She may not be physically here, but I'm in constant communication with her and she's my go to helper for mommy issues when my mom isn't available. I'm sure I must drive her crazy when E drives me crazy, but she never lets on. She's amazing and I don't think I'll ever be able to properly thank her!
E and I have our first plane trip together next week! We are very excited to visit our friends in Florida and get a change of scenery. PLEASE pray that the flight goes well! I'm nervous about it.
