17 Weeks

So this week ended up being a pretty big deal to me. This was the week my dreaded morning sickness FINALLY ENDED! I still am a little nauseous in the mornings but I'm not vomiting uncontrollably anymore. Winning!

This means I was able to return to the gym (and actually feel good) and get back to normal life at our house in Texas.

Getting back to the gym has been a real stress reliever. I've gotten pretty attached to my crossfit workouts and I am not sure what I would if I couldn't go! My coach even got some good pictures of me doing a workout this week!

Even though I've had to really modify the weights, I've been feeling really strong this pregnancy. Especially lately. I think I really needed it. Every pregnancy is different, and for my first, I felt so delicate and vulnerable. Scared really. This time, I've managed to push past it and I am glad. With my husband being gone and me having a child to look after, I needed to feel strong and capable of any challenge. And I do. Maybe it's a small feat to some, but I'm pretty damn proud of my progress in that area and grateful I chose to step outside my comfort zone to make it happen.

This is a silly picture, but I never had lines like that in my abs before I was pregnant! So I'll take a min and brag a bit ;)

Crossfit has become something I need mentally and emotionally as much as something I need physically. I lean on it a lot and will continue to as long as I'm physically able. I can already tell my time at the gym has had an impact on my daughter. I just hope that one day she is able to realize her potential and tries her hardest to reach it. My husband and I would sure love to do a WOD with both our girls one day!
